What our customers are saying:

We were welcomed very warmly and graciously by Randy, who gave us a tour and some history of the Inn, as well as making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

After checking in, Jeff and I walked to a superb Italian meal (one of Randy’s recommendations) which was just a few blocks away.

Our recent overnight stay at Stewart Inn was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, Randy's warm and attentive service set the tone for a wonderful experience. He not only provided excellent dinner recommendations but also gave us a thorough tour of our room, ensuring we knew how to make the most of our stay.

Despite our early departure preventing us from enjoying the scheduled breakfast at 8:30, Randy's kindness truly shone through when he offered us breakfast at 7. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying, exceeding our expectations.

Our stay at Stewart Inn was made exceptional by Randy's outstanding hospitality, the delicious breakfast offerings, and the thoughtful amenities provided. We highly recommend Stewart Inn to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming retreat.

My wife and I stayed at the Stewart Inn for a 3-night weekend stay in March. We can say, without any hesitation, that our experience was superb. Without a doubt one of the most welcome and enjoyable BnB experiences we’ve had in our years of travel.

From the outset Randy warmly welcomed us and was a fountain of knowledge throughout our stay; from the history of the house itself, to his recommendations of top local eateries and museums. He has a passion for his work and his guests, accommodating all our needs and requests. We knew we’d struck gold we saw a pillow menu and enjoyable evening wine receptions.

All rooms were bespoke and ornate but importantly comfortable and spotlessly clean - we slept in peace and quiet. The shower/steamer addition to the room was a welcome addition.

Randy proved to be a skillful chef and treated us to an array of delightful morning food and beverages. All fresh, tasty and delicious whilst willingly accommodating our dietary and caffeine related needs.

The internal decor of the house is nothing short of stunning, and we took great pleasure enjoying the relaxation areas, meeting some wonderful guests and petting the adorable doggie, Buster.

Randy and Sara took our experience to the next level, and we genuinely feel like we arrived as guests but left having met new friends from all walks of life. We cannot wait to come back and experience Wausau during a different season.

The bed and linens were comfortable. I loved the gas fireplace in the room. But what I may have loved best was the steam shower and wonderful bath products. Thank you so much for the very enjoyable one-night stay. I hope to make it back one day.

The Perfect Stay The Stewart Inn is a must stay! The history, architecture, ambiance, amenities, breakfast, and hosts exceeded our expectations! Randy met us at the door, gave us a history of the home, inquired about our dining and entertainment preferences and then gave phenomenal recommendations. We enjoyed coffee in the library, a wine reception, played cards, and relaxed in our room with a working fireplace. This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!

The Best. We've stayed at the Stewart several times over the last few years. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The hospitality is exceptional and breakfast is great. Randy is a wealth of knowledge on what to do in the area. The best B & B we have ever been to.

A lovely stay! This is a spectacular, well-maintained and impeccably clean lodging experience in a beautiful home built in 1906. We loved the oak floors, the art deco windows, and the custom-finished woodwork throughout. Our room was large, bright, clean, quiet and comfortable. Lots of nice touches-- from the wine welcome on the porch, Keurig coffee available 24/7, to the gourmet breakfast prepared by host Randy.

The best B&B we have ever stayed at hands down I can't say enough good things about this B&B. It was truly like staying in a museum. The place is absolutely beautiful and well cared for. So much history. Randy, the owner, met us at the door when we arrived and showed us around, so we were aware of all the areas to explore. Our room was beyond beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were given 4 pillows and told if they were not to our liking there were many more to choose from. We also took advantage of the steam shower for two which is like a sauna and shower combined. Breakfast was served in the morning and it was three courses.

Go. Really beautiful arts and crafts mansion designed by George Maher that was converted to a boutique hotel. The structure is very well preserved and has original light fixtures and lots of oak trim and stained glass. Breakfast was included and was prepared, plated, and served by the owner. So impressive. I feel lucky to have stayed a night. A place like this should be hard to get a reservation for months in advance but it was not fully booked the night we stayed. Go.

Wonderful experience! The Inn is gorgeous and immaculate! My husband and I felt so welcome! Our room was cozy & comfortable. The gourmet breakfast served each morning was amazing! Randy and Sara have a 5-star B & B. Our first time visiting Wausau and we will not hesitate to stay at the Stewart Inn when we visit again!

The internal decor of the house is nothing short of stunning, and we took great pleasure enjoying the relaxation areas, meeting some wonderful guests and petting the adorable doggie, Buster.
